Quality Assurance Engineer

Summary: The Quality Assurance Engineer will ensure that quality software is delivered to our clients by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create, maintain, and execute test cases
• Create and maintain test plans
• Provide estimates for testing efforts
• Analyze test results
• Work with software engineers to obtain information regarding software features and behavior
• Identify, report on, and validate fixes for bugs found in the software systems
• Clearly communicate testing progress and quickly identify any red flags during testing
• Participate in design review process as necessary
• Provide technical support to the Customer Support team as necessary to debug client issues

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

• A bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 2 years experience in a software quality assurance organization
• Possess a polished, professional attitude under all conditions
• Able to work independently and efficiently
• Excellent trouble shooting skills
• Self –motivated, detail oriented team player who can work professionally within a diverse team
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Highly desirable: Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating system
• Highly desirable: Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, PHP, and/or Shell
