Marketing Manger

Internet Matrix, Inc. is currently looking for a marketing leader with both strategic and tactical experience in growing a customized website service business in a B2B environment.

As a cornerstone of the senior team, the Marketing Manager will be in charge of creating and implementing a marketing strategy for market share growth and new channel development, while creating a marketing department from the ground up.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated strategic thinker who can implement plans successfully using outside resources. This person will be analytical as well as creative and have the ability to identify and capitalize on lead opportunities from various sources. Experience in internet, direct mail and call center marketing is required.

Position Overview

The Marketing Manager must be able to roll their sleeves up and create a marketing strategy and vision that will take this company to the next level of growth. After laying the foundation of marketing to increase current market share, the marketing leader will need to be involved in channel expansion, and budget development. The Marketing Manager will play a hands-on roll in implementing all marketing programs using outside resources and be able to use multiple marketing strategies: online, direct mail, trade shows, and telemarketing to effectively increase leads that convert, while continually testing new sources and opportunities.

The ideal candidate must also have analytical background to create effective reporting, tracking and measurement of campaigns to evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of all programs. The person in this role must also have the aptitude to effectively communicate to key management the strategy and expected/actual outcomes of these marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Create the company’s marketing plan (including calendar and waterfall metrics for lead generation pipeline) to adequately meet/exceed a qualified sales quota for a direct inside sales organization.
  • Brand visionary and leadership: Differentiate the company from its peers and within the industry
  • Communicate internally and externally marketing plans and programs
  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns (to new targets, existing leads and customers) including but not limited to: direct mail marketing, email marketing, webinars, online campaigns including paid search, affiliate marketing in an effort to drive leads to sales and optimize lead-acquisition to opportunity-close life cycle, natural search, tradeshows, ads, telemarketing, blogs, and social media.
  • Manage internal and external resources to ensure that campaigns are executed accurately, effectively and within budget.
  • Develop data mining and performance measurement requirements with the ability to evaluate what is being measured and how it is being measured, to create targeted analytics and core reports to gauge performance and help determine where best to focus the business going forward.
  • Development of programs to test lead generation in new marketing channels/products including ads, email, internet and affiliate programs
  • Analyzing competitive landscape for implications as to creative, channel effectiveness and opportunities, pricing, et cetera.
  • Management of company’s external web presence and additional online marketing activities, and ultimately accountable for improving key business metrics such as overall traffic, feedback scores and quality of leads.
  • Monitor and track corporate metrics and report to the senior team.


Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or Communications is required for this role.
  • A minimum of 8+ years of progressively responsible business-to-business marketing experience working directly with small businesses is required. Preference will be given to candidates whose work experience includes roles in internet website companies. In addition, the successful candidate will possess:
  • A solid track record in all aspects of marketing (direct mail, online, trade-show, referral/loyalty programs, database mining, etc.), especially in successfully developing lead generation campaigns with defined quality improvement metrics and tracking.
  • Experience with and passion for using and leveraging technology, by themselves or in partnership with others, to solve problems and/or identify opportunities for improving lead generation results and ROI.
  • Ability to manage outside resources effectively
  • Superior business acumen with demonstrated abilities to align marketing strategy and tactics with the business strategy, both with short-term and long-term horizons.
  • Creative writing skills are a must with the ability to develop and test subject lines, body copy, etc.
  • Proven track record working closely with sales management
  • Effective verbal and written communication, project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Holds themselves and others accountable for their performance
