Lead Developer/Architect – PHP/LAMP

Major Responsibilities

•    Lead a team of PHP engineers to design and implement highly reliable and scalable web-based systems and platforms
•    Recommend technologies and standards for supporting existing and implementing new frameworks
•    The Lead Developer/Architect will be responsible for implementation of new features and refactoring of existing code within our proprietary content management system.  Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this team member will be an integral part of a tight-knit agile development team and will have immediate and direct impact on company success based on performance.

 Minimum requirements:

•    Education –
     Bachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalent

•    Experience -
     8+ years of progressive industry experience in database driven web technologies
     5 years minimum in developing commercial products in a LAMP environment.
     Lead Developer or Architect at previous employer.
     Start-up experience strongly preferred

•    Technologies -
      Expert PHP 5 - Real world object oriented experience
      Experience with PHP frameworks
      Strong mySQL 5.X skills
      Linux background, Enterprise Red Hat and/or CentOS preferred
      Java, C/C++ experience preferred
      Ant, CruiseControl, XML
      Experience with modern front-end technologies such as JavaScript, AJAX, and REST
      Strong background in object oriented analysis and design, design patterns
      Mobile device development a plus
      User Interface Design - ability to build functional real-world high-tech applications

•    Cultural and SDLC
      Background working in an Agile environment.
      Scrum experience
      Commitment to best practices in software development such as continuous integration, etc.
      Strong communication skills, flexibility, and ability to work in a fast paced environment
