Senior Systems Administrator IT

Major Responsibilities
As a Senior Systems Administrator you will be responsible for the ongoing expansion and maintenance of systems infrastructure components for the company’s SaaS IT systems.

Minimum Requirements

Education
BS (or above) in CS or equivalent work experience

Experience
Minimum 5 years experience system administration (Linux, Windows, SAN)
Successful candidates will have experience in supporting enterprise SaaS services in a high-availability, 24x7 environment as well as supporting the day to day needs of our sales, support, and software organizations.
Strong knowledge of network & internet security, network intrusion prevention, data privacy policy, authentication & encryption
Expert level experience in routing, switching, and complex firewalls
IP network troubleshooting experience
Monitor network capacity and recommend required actions

Technologies
CentOS/RedHat Enterprise 5.x system administration
Switches/Routers/VLANs/SNMP & general network administration
mySQL server administration
Windows Server 2003 / Active Directory setup & administration
Windows desktop support
VOIP phone systems (Digium)
Backup systems and procedures
Exposure to iSCSI/SAN environments
Broad understanding of network file systems such as windows DFS, NFS and Lustre
Perl, Bash, PHP
Nagios & MRTG
Cron scheduling
Amanda / Zmanda backup
memcached

Corporate/Cultural
Strong communication skills, flexibility, ability to work in a fast paced rapidly changing environment
Background working in an Agile environment (Scrum)
Ability to multitask projects while keeping each of them moving
